Founded in 1966, Simione was a pioneer in home care and hospice consulting as the first organization of its kind dedicated entirely to the provision of healthcare at home. In 2022, SimiTree acquired Florida-based Imark Billing allowing SimiTree to expand upon its billing, coding, and consulting services in post-acute care. The acquisition of Imark Billing is the ideal next step for SimiTree as it continues to expand the scope and scale of services and solutions, furthering the mission to help post-acute organizations become stronger and healthier overall by aligning business and care. This move delivers the scalability SimiTree needs to address the industry’s growing need for its services, no matter the size or census. SimiTree continues to help its clients address challenges, identify strategic growth opportunities, and improve profitability. 

In 2022, SimiTree acquired Infinity Behavioral Health Services.  Infinity is a Florida- and California-based behavioral health company that specializes in providing services for Mental Health and Substance Abuse facilities, including billing, insurance collections, utilization management and consulting to increase profitability.

In 2023, SimiTree announced the acquisition of Afia Health, a company offering behavioral health data analytics, and GreenpointMed, a medical billing and credentialing company. The strategic combination and expansion into the behavioral health market strengthens SimiTree’s commitment to becoming a single financial, clinical, and operational resource for post-acute healthcare organizations.
